The Need For A Nutrition Source That Is Within Everyone's Reach And Lighter On Earth's Resources 

Changes in temperature and rainfall have affected production, productivity along with storage, packing, and transport of the food produced. This has also affected the kinds of crops that are grown and their nutrition.

 

25% of children under 5 chronically malnourished and 40% of them are in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. There are more than 2 billion people with micronutrient malnutrition. Three fourth of the world’s hungry people are from rural areas and they are smallholder farmers. 500 million smallholder farms support 2 billion people. 80% of the food from sub-Saharan Africa and Asia is by smallholder farmers, and they eat what they produce. Benefits of integrating measures to address climate change and nutrition help these farmers get stable income and food that has better dietary quality.

Foods habits of people are changing. People all over the world are looking for sustainable, plant-based alternatives. Vegan population is increasing.

 

There is an urgent need for nutrition is within the reach of people, easy to produce, and widely available in most geographies.

MORe - The Moringa Composite Protein

The composite protein that we have created uses moringa seed cake as the raw material. The seed cake is the left-over from the moringa oil industry and has low economical significance. It is either thrown away or used as cattle feed. We use this raw material to extract valuable protein (up to 70%) along with fiber and minerals, hence it's a composite. As part of the process, moringa oil of 10% is also derived which is an expensive byproduct used in cosmetics industry.

MORe offers complete nutrition with all almost amino acids. It can be further fortified with moringa leaf powder, thereby making it a source of accessible nutrition.

Moringa Oleifera is a robust plant that grows most geographies, even in drought conditions, making it a suitable plant for nutritional security.

Moringa absorbs 50x higher carbon dioxide when compared to the Japanese cedar tree and 20x higher than that of general vegetation, hence great for the environment.

Process & Supply Chain

Our process uses 20 times less water compared to spray drying. It is safe for the consumer and the environment as no acids, bases, or solvents are used. The supply chain is secured via blockchain so all stakeholders are protected and quality is controlled.
